I did something that's on my list-of-wannados!
I went thrift shopping at Salvation army on friday!
:)
(My mum liked one of the bags and i decided to gif it to her :])
Bought 2 bags, some pretty writing pad + envelope and a reader's digest (consist of 4 novels).
Both the bags were $3 and $5, looks undamaged and rather new ar.
The writing pads were from this shop which i don't see anymore "Giftland" all priced at $1!
A reader's digest which cost only $2.
For the newer books they will cost $3.
But i go for the author, so i chose a book which has Nora Robert's stories :)
But for the clothes wise, i couldn't say the same.
For me, i don't tink i like the clothes as they have those old musty smells.
Well, they can be washed.
but i jus don't find them to my taste and also i can't deny its partly due to smells and dust.
i did see some branded jeans.
CK jeans, Lee and AX i tink.
They have plenty of gown and all.
But as i said, i didnt see much so more of that fact that i was in the bags n lil barang barangs sections.
Digging for treasures i shall say.
haha!
OH, and i saw a display item that cost $25.
was rather tempted to get sia.
It's a Flute metal display piece in a box.
There's plenty of other instruments if you would like to get them as a gift.
Too bad i didnt snap any photo of them.
But from my view, i tink they are rather detailed and unique cos i dun see them selling anywhere.
You can get instruments ranging from A french horn, guitar and down to a flute.
lol, didnt get cos of the price and because it's not something i need.
But pretty la. argh~
There were plenty of killer heels and shoes on display.
Some branded heels/shoes going for only $20 or $35.
why did i say $20 or $35 was cheap?
Cos they really look expensive though i forgot the brand.
I vaguely remember it started with L.
Liz claiborne?
Not sure, but i could be wrong.
nah, i didnt get cos it was too dressy and off my shoes budget.
pardon my unskillful shot
I spent $13 inclusive of 10% cos i joined the friends-of-salvation-army membership!
lol.
it was free and plus i had the time.
so why nt filled up the form and get some discount.
Spend around a few hours in there and it started to rain.
Thank god, me and bf bought umbrellas!
There were several other thrift stores around singapore if you like...
